After realizing there weren't any tools that offered this kind of analysis for season-long fantasy leagues, he decided to build one himself. Max spent five years working professionally in sports data and probability modeling, where he learned how to turn messy projection feeds into numbers people can read at a glance. That expertise now powers the models behind every number Fantom Odds publishes.

Payton is the co-founder of Fantom Odds and passionate about combining tech and sports. Payton has worked on multiple websites dealing with football, most recently working on Rankings Right Now where he built machine learning models to predict college football rankings in real time. He has worked as a data scientist and machine learning engineer throughout his career, and has enjoyed finding the next thing to take the fan experience to the next level. Payton is responsible for hosting the Fantom Odds website, as well as building all of the technical capabilities and mathematical calculations that power Fantom Odds.
